Observations/Breakthrough on Day 13
Health wise:
- No painkillers till date. 3 days ago was the first time in a long while that I can leave home without my painkillers! Insecure intially and this is Day 4 of leaving painkillers at home! Yippee!!
- Slowly putting myself and the program to the test by trying more and more food that used to be a nono to me. After donuts, I tried caramel cake yesterday and today I tried milk chocolate with raisins in it and big raisins! Really very very sweet but seems all cleared!
- Previously, on days without headache, there's still always this nagging discomfort somewhere up in the head just waiting for something to trigger and go full blown. Now, even this nagging discomfort seems gone!
- Saturday night while driving i discovered that headlights are no longer irritating. They used to be what triggers the migraine esp when the ultra bright ones shine into my eyes. But no, that didn't happen.
- There's always this very close relationship between my neck, shoulder/shoulder blades and my head ie, whenever the neck/shoulder aches, the head aches as well. So, holding a deskbound job, i always get neckaches/shoulderaches due to poor posture and then the headache will come. These days, I don't feel the neckache and even the uncomfortable shoulder blades ache seems to have disappeared.
- My headache is also triggered by insufficient sleep. Inevitably, if i sleep for just a few hours, i'll wake up with headache for sure. On Sunday night, I stayed up till 2am to watch a drama and woke up at 6am for work. I woke up not only without headache, but i was still feeling fresh and able to survive the day's work! O
- Seems to have develop a rejection of unhealthy or oily food into the body. Tried snacking on my favourite tidbits a couple of days ago but I had this sick feeling and stomach feels weird after that. That is probably the way to lead my lifestyle back to normal.
- Bowel movements still as good! (I paiseh describe too detailed liao la! -_-)
Body wise:
- Have put on weight on the scale. I was then advised it could have been the building of muscles which is heavier than fats. I felt a little leaner on the arms and I could fit better into a pair of quite tight jeans. I will wear that same pair of jeans to judge along the way.
Many people have commented that 'Aiyo you so skinny still lose what weight?'. Yes I may appear to be not fat but that doesn't mean I have a perfect body. Who would say no to a better image? Especially girls? I do also have hideous parts of my body which I hope to improve in my opinion such as the below (overflowing flesh!). Everyone has different yardsticks. Mine is just probably a stricter one that sees more imperfections in myself and hoping to improve. Will monitor if the overflowing flesh goes away after 3 mths!
To have a better picture of whether the program works for my exterior, I took measurements of each part of my body before i started the program. It may or may not work for me but we'll see after 3 months.
Arm - 10"
Waist - 24.5"
Thigh - 19"
Calf - 14"Hip - 36"
Chest - 29.5"
My wish is for smaller arms, thigh and calf. Let's see how they progress.
